An Investment in Young Musicians
Supporting the DCC is a unique opportunity to invest in the musical and personal development of young singers, while advancing the cultural life of our community.
See the difference your support makes
Your generosity helps sustain and grow a premier children’s chorus, providing transformative opportunities for young musicians that would otherwise be out of reach. Tuition covers only about 15–20% of what it costs to train and present our choristers (the exact share varies from year to year), so your support also helps fund need-based tuition assistance — making sure a chorister’s place here is never decided by a family’s ability to pay full tuition.
Below, hear the combined choruses of the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus performing “United in Song” by Victor C. Johnson — a piece that captures exactly what your support makes possible: young voices coming together to create something extraordinary. Thank you for helping make moments like this possible.
Hear from the donors who make it possible
Every gift comes from a personal reason. Our donors are parents, trustees, and friends of the chorus who believe in music’s power to shape young lives. Here’s why they give.
“The Dallas Children’s Chorus is a life-changing program, not only for my daughter but for all the children involved. It has brought children together from all over the DFW Metroplex, from as far north as Leonard to as far south as Kemp, and all areas in between. Not only are these children learning music, but they are also creating bonds and friendships through their shared love of music that will help shape the adults they become. I cannot think of a better children’s arts program to contribute to.”
— Robin Marin, DCC Parent & Volunteer
“Music and the arts have been pivotal in shaping the person I am today. Growing up, I was able to play in my city’s youth orchestra because of donors who generously paid it forward. Given its history and affiliation with the DSO, the Dallas Children’s Chorus is special — a unique asset for children’s performing arts across North Texas, and one worth nurturing and protecting. As a kid, I benefited from the generosity of others. It’s now my turn to pay it forward.”
— Michael Lu, DCC Parent & Trustee
“There’s a magic about making music, and the finest way to make children sensible of that magic is to have them make the music themselves. As the parent of three children who sing in the Children’s Chorus, I have had the joy of watching that magic become real. When children raise their voices in song, they discover not only the beauty of music, but also the power of listening, working together, and being part of something greater than themselves.”
— Kate Lindsey, DCC Parent & Trustee
“My wife and I give to the Dallas Children’s Chorus, because we’ve seen how music enriches our son’s life, inspires our students, and brings joy to our community. Through meaningful collaborations, lasting friendships, and lifelong memories, these young musicians become part of something greater than themselves. We believe music brings people together and creates beauty that reaches across generations. Our giving is an investment in children, the arts, and a legacy of music. After all, one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is something wonderful that will continue long after we are gone.”
— Thomas and Carrie Hemminger, DCC Parents & Trustee
“As parents, watching our son grow through the DCC has been such a gift. Joining Symphonic Voices surrounded by older, dedicated kids challenged him in the best possible way, and seeing how much he has grown has been wonderful to witness. In today’s fast-paced world, the power of young people coming together to make great music is more important than ever. Every week, these kids gather, no matter where they are in their training, to support one another and work together to create something special…

“…Standing in the Meyerson Symphony Center and hearing those voices fill the hall—whether during the joy of Christmas Pops or a big work like Mahler’s 8th Symphony—is a deeply moving experience. It reminds us of what childhood should be: full of connection, teamwork, and creating something beautiful together that you can’t do alone. We proudly support the DCC because these real, in-person experiences deserve to be protected and celebrated. DCC gives children a unique chance to make great music, build true confidence, and form lasting friendships. Donating is our way of keeping this wonderful tradition strong for future generations.”
